"From Myth to Reality Check" is yet a further attempt to educate the Canadian policy community that traditional UN peacekeeping is dead (and has been for some time), and that Canada is engaged in Stabilization operations which overlap with Counterinsurgency. The editor of Policy Options requested that I write this piece because of the lack of clear understanding he encountered on a regular basis while dealing with the media and policymakers. |
